Can You Heal POTS Naturally? My Journey to Recovery

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is a condition that affects the autonomic nervous system and can be incredibly debilitating. Symptoms like dizziness, rapid heart rate when standing, fatigue, and brain fog can make everyday life feel like a challenge. When I was first diagnosed, I felt overwhelmed by the lack of clear answers. But over time, through persistence and a holistic approach, I found a path that led to healing.

Based on my personal experience—and now supported by growing research—I truly believe that POTS can be healed naturally, or at the very least significantly improved. Here’s how I did it, and what others are discovering along the way.

My Natural Healing Protocol

I didn’t find relief overnight, but through trial, error, and commitment, I built a strategy that worked. These four components were essential to my healing:

1. Acupuncture

Acupuncture played a major role in calming my nervous system. It helped balance my body’s energy, improve circulation, and regulate autonomic functions. After just a few sessions, I noticed my lightheadedness and fatigue began to decrease. Over time, the results compounded.

2. Chiropractic Care (NUCCA)

This was probably the most transformative therapy for me. NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) care is gentle but incredibly effective. By correcting misalignments in the upper cervical spine, my nervous system function improved, and many of my symptoms—including dizziness and brain fog—started to fade.

3. Managing Anxiety and Stress

POTS and anxiety often go hand in hand. It’s a vicious cycle: the symptoms make you anxious, and the anxiety worsens the symptoms. I began practicing daily mindfulness, breathwork, and cognitive reframing techniques to stay grounded. These tools were just as important as the physical treatments—maybe even more so.

4. DALL·E (Visualization & Creativity)

This one might sound unconventional—but using DALL·E, an AI image generator, gave me a creative outlet to visualize health and healing. It helped me reconnect with hope, purpose, and imagination—important aspects of recovery that are often overlooked. Creative therapy, in any form, can be incredibly healing.

What Does the Research Say?

While every case of POTS is different, natural therapies are increasingly being explored by practitioners and patients alike. Here’s what current insights show:

Acupuncture has been found to support autonomic regulation and improve blood flow, potentially easing POTS symptoms.

Final Thoughts

Healing from POTS naturally is possible—at least it was for me. It required commitment, open-mindedness, and a willingness to address both the body and the mind. If you’re on this journey, don’t lose hope. Everyone’s path is different, but with the right support and tools, your body can begin to recover.
